Sound Bath
-
Brought to you in partnership with Bronx Yoga LaSalle, these special summer sound bath sessions take our usual studio practice out into nature, from July to September.
If you’ve never experienced a sound bath before, think of it as an opportunity for relaxing self-reflection or meditation. In fact, many people find they are transported somewhere else entirely. During a session, you will be invited to lie down or sit comfortably while the rich, harmonic vibrations of quartz crystal bowls wash over you. There is absolutely nothing you need to "do;" the sound handles the work, offering a deeply restful experience meant for both body and mind. No previous experience with meditation or sound journeys is needed, newcomers are warmly welcome!

Please note that registering on Eventbrite or Meetup does not guarantee your place. Tickets are available for a special summer price of $15 + tax per person and must be purchased directly through Bronx Yoga's Fliip page to secure your spot.

We will gather right across the street from the Restaurante Creme & Cafe, on the grass near the community garden. The event runs from 6:00 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. We will settle in and aim to begin the sound bath at 6:05 a.m. If you happen to arrive after the session has started, please join us quietly so as not to disturb the meditation.
-
Come dressed in whatever clothing allows you to sit and lie down comfortably in the grass. Because the morning grass may be wet with dew, we recommend bringing a camping chair, or a yoga mat alongside a towel to wipe it down afterward. Depending on the weather, you may also want to bring a water bottle and a light blanket for comfort.
-
Because this is an entirely outdoor experience, the event will be cancelled in the case of rain. Any cancellation updates will be posted directly on the Eventbrite or Meetup event pages, so please be sure to check before heading over.

While the crystal bowls do most of the talking, the spoken guidance at the very beginning and end of the session can be shared in either English, French, or both, depending on the needs of the group. If you prefer one language over the other, please let me know in advance so the opening and closing words can be adjusted accordingly.
